Mitsubishi Fuso has marked its 100,000th unit production of its latest generation Canter light-duty trucks (Local name: Colt Diesel) and buses together in less than 3 years since its introduction in March 2007. The vehicles are produced locally and sold through P.T. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors' (KTB) distribution network.
Dating back to 1971, MFTBC first launched its Canter light-duty truck in the Indonesia market. Building on its strong reputation, MFTBC has sold over 170,000 units (wholesale) in Indonesia over the past five years. To date, the company has sold about 660,000 light-duty trucks in the market.
Mitsubishi Fuso is the number-one commercial vehicle brand in Indonesia, with an approximate 51 percent wholesale share of the truck and bus market in 2009. In the light-duty truck segment, MFTBC holds a 57.8 percent wholesale share.
On January 28, 2010, President Director and executives of related companies and suppliers in Indonesia, also employees of KRM production gathered at KRM to internally celebrate its 100,000 unit success.
